CASE Europe Annual Conference – Networking
Client: Council for Advancement and Support of Education – Networking
Project: CASE Europe Annual Conference
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) wanted a suite of event marketing videos that showcased and promoted their European Annual Conference. The aim was to create an informal ‘overview’ video that showcased the feel-good factor and energising nature of the event and highlight the breadth of what was on offer for attendees of the conference. The event marketing video was to be used as a promotional tool to increase signup for next year’s event as well as promoting CASE and its membership as a whole.
Slate and Mortar filmed with a small crew of camera operators who worked independently of each other to collect as much material from the event as possible. With individual schedules planned in advance, the production team was able to capture key-note speakers, seminars, networking events and all of the major moments across the three days.
Alongside the overview video, we also produced a series of accompanying talking head interview films with delegates and keynote speakers, asking them about sector challenges, their career journeys and their thoughts on the event itself.
For the interviews, we worked in partnership with Oppidum Ltd, a digital marketing and communications consultancy that specialises in Higher Education. This ensured that all messaging and interviews were on-point, and meant that Oppidium could offer sector specific questioning to create video content that especially engaged with the target audience.
Shooting took place over a three-day window and was filmed at the ICC Birmingham in 2019. In addition to the overview film and interview films, various other event marketing films were made to sit on CASE’s online channels, and as a thank you to all our contributors, we also provided all interviewee’s an extended-edit version of their interview so they could publish and use for their own purposes.
Since 2019, Slate and Mortar has gone on to produce various content for CASE, including video coverage of events on Alumni Relations, and coverage across a number of their Marketing Institutes.
